He is a founding board member of Green Ummah, an environmental not for profit. He serves as the Muslim Chaplain at the University of Windsor and a Research Fellow at Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research. He is also an instructor at Canterbury College (Windsor). He established the Al-Majlis educational program (Canada) where he teaches traditional Islamic knowledge. Since 2014, he has been serving the Canadian Muslim community through various mosques and institutions. Previously, he headed the Academic Committee of Shaykh Al-Amoud Foundation educating youth in Egypt on various Islamic disciplines. He has dedicated over 10 years as a religious educator, counselor, and visiting lecturer. He has a University Teaching Certificate and is completing his Master’s in Law (LLM) at the University of Windsor, Canada, where he is exploring gaps between religious and secular legal systems of family law to increase access to justice for Muslims in Canada.
